If you are going through the effort of a wood base, you could use it as a buck to craft the tail out of metal.

Good on you for getting your daughter involved. My goal with my daughter is to not let her be a woman who does not understand how vehicles work. This bikes-are-for-boys crap is just , uh, crap.

Ya- shes crafty. Thanks and what do you think-form and weld some sheetstock, or use aluminum? I like the idea-

I got the Ballistic Lithium battery (Thanks Santa!), and fitted it into the seat cowl- great fit! Ready to finish the seat, tank and on to Lighting.

Just make sure you keep the battery charged while you're finishing things up. You let it drain too far, and it becomes a doorstop.

Nice looking build so far. I do like the color combo. I've got a pile of 2x6's awaiting to be chopped up and turned into a work stand like yours.
