Since I had to pull it off the lift for another project today, I couldn't resist a few pics of the bobber while it was outside. I feel like I'm at that stage of a project that I'm 90% complete and only have 90% left to go...

@Kanticoy sent me this sweet cone muffler. It looks way better than the one I had before.

Still fiddling away here and there.

I got tired of doing all my aluminum fab with a scroll saw. I remembered that dad had an old wood bandsaw mothballed away in the back of the barn. I pulled it out, freshened it up with new wheel protectors, a few bushings and a proper bi metal blade. What a handy piece of kit. Even though it's a jet brand, the entire frame is really solid cast.

I'd been contemplating how to construct and build the electronics box, but I think I've decided to not go with one at all, and just try to hide everything at different places.

I used my newly revived band saw to make a plate that will hold the cdi and reg/req under the seat. The mount bolts are rubber encapsulated for the cdi, and spacers hold the reg/rec just below that.

The plan at the moment is to put the barrier strip and fuse block under the tank, and the flasher relay behind the headlight cowl. Those are on their way from the Amazon...

Is Jet not good? I thought they were high end beginner tools...
I think their quality has gone down hill in the last few years. Maybe apple's too oranges, but a friend had a jet lathe that he seemed to always be chasing broken parts etc on.

Pictures dont do justice to how bright these little supernova LEDs are. They are spendy, but well made and worth the price imho. I used them on my dr650 "tidy tail" a while back, and had this extra one left over.

Once complete, the wire itself will run inside the fender rib, out of sight.
