Those spacers look great. That'll make a heck of a difference.

Ergonomics are a Thing with two-wheelers! My first "ride" taught me that!

That looks like my first ride as well haha.. I had a bicycle brake lever rigged up as a throttle lever on mine

Same! Stupid twist-throttle frayed up and WHO could afford new cables in the 70's??! Not ME! Also, no brakes, as evidenced by the forks- bent, er- customized by coming in too hot and hitting Dad's workbench in the back of the garage!

I rode the bobber down to Columbus to iron pony today for a show, then over to Throttle Co, which is a Royal Enfield/ Moto Guzzi dealership and then the "long" way home. It was about 150 miles all told. The ol girl never skipped a beat, but I learned that 150 miles in a day is pretty much my limit on this thing. The hardtail itself wasn't really the issue, but more or less the saddle, which is no surprise. I felt about the same by the end of the day as a recent 450 mile loop on my f800gs haha

A whole tankful on a custom bobber without the need of a chiropractor (or proctologist!) is a pretty successful build! Is it still the angle of the seat that giving you the issues?

funny, 150 miles took right at two tanks. I can get about 80-85 miles tank. Its an interesting guessing game at times with no odometer or reserve haha. I figured it out the first time with the REVER app. My work ride is 50 miles round trip. I just fill up when I get home every day haha

Well, After turning the bars, removing the master, sliding the tubes up in the trees, leaning the bike WAYY over on its side and spitting on the cap, I got the bobber loaded in the short short bed Silverado ready to head to Barber Vintage Festival this weekend. If you are around, stop by and say hi. Ill mostly be in our swap spot in the "upper swap meet" area.

Safe travels. Looks like the weather is going to be pretty decent. It should warm up a bit by the weekend.

Agreed, that would be cool. I am very much hoping that next year I will be able to make it.
I've been saying that to @Hurco550 for several years now: "Thanks for asking but I can't this year. Keep asking me though, sooner or later I'll say, 'Yes'."

Gotta say it again man, you knocked it out of the park with this one. Thanks for letting me take it for a spin. Not only does it look amazing but it’s also more fun than a barrel of monkeys.

I just got back from a visit w/ @Hurco550 and FINALLY got to take this little beast for a ride. I've swung a leg over many a bike over the years and I was pleasantly surprised by this one. It handles very well and is solid and sure-footed. I'm not sure that I can say exactly what I expected but despite it's raucous and bad-ass-attitude look I found it to be very comfortable and much more civilized than I expected. It looks good and your workmanship is very apperant, but there are lots and lots of great looking custom bikes out there that probably should be seen and not ridden. Yours has it all, well done, my friend, well done!
