It is. Really, no part of this project "makes sense" if ya think about it ha. A dirtbike motor, in a scratch built hartail frame... why not make a petcock manifold for the heck of it haha.

I spent last night working on sorting out the rear brake pedal. I have worked to make sure that there is nothing under hanging below the frame rails, and decided that this 04-06 RMZ250 pedal mated to a 1996 RM250 master cylinder is a good way to achieve this. The pedal is made to loop over the peg instead of under, and I chose the master cylinder as it has a built in reservoir so I wont have to sort a location for a divorced reservoir.
I made a lug and threaded bung out of 3/8" thick plate and drilled and tapped the bung to accept the stock RMZ pivot bolt.
Then welded it up, and onto the frame in location
I'm still working through in my mind a non bulky looking bracket in which to hold the master cylinder itself, since its kinda standing in the middle of nowhere.

HA thanks jimbo. I tend to load the photos straight off of the phone where they are saved, then go back and edit with the laptop since I'm much better typing with the keyboard. Several times @Maritime has caught me between the edit though. Looking foward to those items! as is Mrs. Hurco.

After scratching my head on how to mount the master, I ended up making a simple upright bracket out of 11 gauge steel that I bent into a 90, shaped and of course speed holes. I spaced the master away from three bracket to give myself ample room for the brake line to run between the master and the bracket. It looks a bit goofy hanging out there in the middle of nowhere, but the battery box will mount behind it and help fill the space.
