I have been working on a business plan for a motorcycle shop co-op. One of the challenges of putting something like this together is trying to project what kind of shop would be attractive to members, what kind of skills they have, and what skills they would like to learn. I put together a website detailing what I think is a good model for a shop like this. What I need, is to know what other people think, and some demographic data about them.

It doesn't matter if you live no where near where I am doing this, but if you think that a co-op shop is something that you might be interested in, I would be grateful if you would read through the website, and take the on-line survey. The survey is anonymous. The questions are designed to help me determine the financial viability of the idea. There are only a handful of such shops in existence. I don't know whether that's because it's a bad idea, or whether it's just an idea that few have tried.

Looks like a viable plan to me Alpha, I'm interested in your concept and I have full access to my work shop in the evenings and most weekends. Hope things work out and you can get the ball up and rolling! ;D

Done! I sincerely hope this idea catches on - not for competition for you but for resources for guys like me. I want to learn terribly bad and ask lots of questions...I think this would be a freaking fantastic way for people like me to hang out, observe, pay their dues and become moderately skilled craftsmen who can then in turn help others.
