People of Toronto,

If you see my bike parked on the side of the road, please do not feel free to sit on it, move my mirrors around or touch it in any way. Also, please stop hitting my bike with your car.

Yours truly,
All motorcycle owners in Toronto

make that an open letter to chicago too. I havent gotten my bike on the road yet, but I definitely have been out and seen drunken people climb onto parked bikes to pose for pictures and Ive definitely seen people bump bikes/scooters when parallel parking. People just have no respect..

I used to meet my wife for lunch all the time when she worked at the mall. I'd park my bike (at the time, a VF1000R) up on the huge concrete walkway, but off to the side, near the entrance. After lunch, I'd be walking out, and I would see people leaning against or sitting on it thought the glass doors. Most times they would see me coming, helmet in hand, and they'd get off and walk away. So I started leaving my helmet and jacket indoors and walking out to confront them.
I had one guy leaning on her reading the paper, waiting on his ride or something. I walked out the door and started to walk past him. I stopped and walked over to him and said "man, that is one nice looking bike!". He just shrugged. I asked "How much do they go for?". He looked up at me from his paper like I was annoying him. So I said, while leaning in on him, "Because I know how much I Paid for THAT ONE!" Getting more sarcastic in my tone with each word. His eyes got real big, and he muttered a "Sorry" while he scurried away.

Assholes... you'd be real pissed if you saw me sitting in your car, or fucking your girlfriend... Why would you think I would want you sitting on my bike?!

Again your bike got knocked over??

Not knocked over, but I have to park it in the club district when I'm at work. Every morning I come out to my mirror twisted the other way and ass prints on the seat and tank. Never any damage...but it's just annoying. I almost hope that my bike falls over and lands on one of them.

So amny stories from when I lived in San Francisco...
The time someone busted both sparkplugs with a nearby brick. For the heck of it, I guess.
Drunks sitting on them.
Had drivers actually move them so they could fit in a parking spot.
One time I came out of the bank and the bike was on it's side. I found the note that said, "you shouldn't have parked there".

I looked one guy right in the eye as he went through a stop sign when I had the right of way. He parked on the other side of the street. I was mad, so I double parked my bike and walked over to him to aasak what his problem was and he yelled at me to get f***ed. Figureing him to be an authority on the topic at hand, I was about to request a demonstration when he put his car in gear, back up, turned down the street, and deliberately ran right over my bike; a 1946 Indian Chief.
That story did not have a good ending... One reason I don't own a gun. I'd be in federal prison right now. Seriously.

Speaking of mirrors- I met a pretty old gal who spent a LOT of time riding her BMW around to ralleys. She finally had her mirrors welded in place because she got so tired of people moving them. She was a pistol.

the broken spark plugs is done because crack heads use them as pipes. go figure.

we caught a guy who backed into my neighbors bike and nocked it over. then proceeded to get out of his car, DRAG the bike a foot, then got back in and finished parking. my neighbor was pissed to say the least, broke the guys window and mirrors, and left him a note in sharpie on his hood saying "sucks, doesnt it?"

i dont mind people who want to sit on my dads ride, long as they ask. anyone who sits without asking is just asking for it though. hell, neither my dad or me sit on the bike with the kickstand down. doing so loosens it up over time; we take care of our things.
