Annual DO THE TON Get Togethers

There is some chatter about the various events each year that DO THE TON members tend to congregate around. I figured I'd start a thread so we can nail down the various events around the US and the rest of the world where we tend to converge.

It's a little far for most people, but there has been talk about gathering up near Kaladar Ontario where I have a spot out in the woods on a lake, in the middle of some great riding roads.

Dibs on a queen bed for me and the old lady...July 4th weekend would work. Extra day without using vaca. ;)

August would also work.

Good Lord...I cannot get away from a straight road to save my butt.

12 hours...virtually a straight shot.

Also Meltdown in Hendersonville, NC (Asheville) in April. Its a Ton Up Highlands gig, but a huge DTT contingent collects for that one too.

www.ridethehighlands.ca details the rides in the area.
This is what I was talking about, redwillissuperman & Mike. :) :)

Also trying to see about plans for DTT members to attend the soft or grand opening of Ace Cafe Orlando. Still in the beginning stages of planning that, I'm basically waiting to hear the dates announced (supposed to be sometime in January) so that I can confirm the location we can all stay. Stay tuned :)

The other option is early spring when most of the country is still draped in cold by its sunny in New Mexico. We could invade the town of Silver City (like Silver town in Joe Dirt).

There are plenty of options for on and off-road riding down highway and fire roads. A scrambler or super motard or enduro can be fun here as you basically point and shoot over whatever terrain you want.

But crazy cafe racers still draw a crowd:

I'm stuck working weekends for the foreseeable future but I can do some creative shift trading. I'd love to make it to anything within reasonable driving distance of me if it get set up.

Quit a bit of chat for this for the Detroit area and Maritime suggested on October 15, tying it in with an already existing bike event?
Here is your answer . . . . drum role. .
