Yeah, at least its not a hornets nest haha... I guess I'm gonna attempt a vacuum first. I REALLY don't want to tear this down. Anyone wanna come over to help if so?

That's a pisser!
I bet a shop vac on the intake and compressed air through the spark plug hole would get most if not all of it.
And I'd check/suck them all out before you try to turn the motor over.
That one may be visible as a mouse pantry because the valve is closed. How did he figure out which one would hold? by trying them all I expect.
Once you have vacuumed them all, then slowly spin the motor while continuing to vac out the cylinders.

A pain to be sure, but I doubt there's anything in there hard enough to do a lot of dammage to the motor.

Good luck!

Tape a straw into the vacuum hose and vac each cylinder via the spark plug hole. If the valves were even slightly cracked open, there is junk on top of the pistons. There is a rat nest inside one of the cylinders of my junk truck engine...

Good excuse to buy a shop vac I suppose... anyone wanna come over this weekend for the meltdown and help me pull the motor so I can clean it proper? Damn things are heavy!

If you don't have one, you can pick up a <$20 borescope here to see whether your tiny friend has been collecting magnets in his nest after you vacuum it out: http://www.ebay.com/itm/2M-Mini-USB-Borescope-Endoscope-Waterproof-Inspection-Snake-Tube-Video-Camera-/261062097117?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item3cc88378dd

Hey, I will be in your neck of the woods tomorrow evening. Let's say we trade. I help you pull an engine and you help me sync my carbs!
