Yep, but we don't all live in OZ....
There are a couple of active build threads from Aussies building CB450 trackers, CB750 DOHC or even boats. Seem to be more in QLD now than VIC or new south.
Pete12, Stroker Crazy, CB250.... (can't remember his handle) and Brodie are all regulars as is TX750Au (don't quote me on that last one either). Things lost steam for a few days with change of software, but people are coming back (I hope).
How are the fires now? Long range weather said little or no rain for three months. How is that possible up there?

Cool good to know there's a few still about! I'll have to check out the builds. More in Qld doesn't surprise me though to be honest as the Katana forum is very similar. A few active guys in other states but as far as actual riding goes us south east Qld folks seem to be the most active.
No fires near where I am but some people at work have had them come a little close, and yeah overall it's been an extremely dry year up here. Lately we've only had one or two days of rain sufficient enough to actually wet the ground enough to make a difference. Everything is dry and brown in general.

Be careful out there, especially going for a ride in the country, I nearly rode into the black Saturday fires cos I just had no idea they were happening

The cx500 being water cooled, old water cooled bikes can have another whole level of issues that can get expensive...(Im a honda nut btw

Also bikes tend to be seasonal/regional and so are the prices...they tend to drop a bit during the colder mths or in the wetter states. There are plenty of transport company's that will transport bikes for around $300 to $500 depending on distance
