Anyone have good or bad experiences with Coilspec coils?

Never heard of the brand, but that's pretty cheap for a coil.
If you decide to pull the trigger, measure out the resistance with a multimeter. If you're at 3-5 Ohms, hook it up to a battery and let it sit a minute and see how hot it gets. Cheap coils tend to overheat very easily and I've had some get too hot to touch after only a minute or so.

You will never guess who sells them..."Spark House". I was off on the price, it is just under $40. The 2 year warranty peaked my interest as most others were like 60-90 days. Others are EMGO at $40, then you are into $45 MAGNA, from 4 into 1 which look just like Dyna's. Then prices go up. I just want something affordable that will last, not the 16 ebay/amazon crap. My old primary's ohm'd at 4.3, secondarys were open.

OK, trying a coil from 4 into 1. Was an inexpensive option but not the cheapest out there. Supposed to be a KZ style replacement. The mounting hole spacing was 90mm, where the stock units were about 102mm so a slight mod to the bracket was needed to fit. The coil ohm'd out within spec for primary and secondary windings. Here are a few pics of the old/new, and the new mounted on the blasted and painted bracket. Too cold to try to fire it up so to be continued...

My coils are drawing way too much current and draining battery; getting hot, burnt fuse on my cb 360. Should I consider getting a 5 ohm brand name cool?
That would be my choice for a Honda twin, yes. They don't have too much extra charging to handle lower Ohm coils or higher wattage headlights.
