Here's the scoop:

1. Nominate one of our member's bike for Bike of the Month - include some flattering pictures of the bike in question as well as a link to their build thread if they have one and their DTT user name.

2. Someone seconds the nomination (please only second one nomination)

3. Member has to accept the nomination

We will accept nominations until we get a reasonable number of nominees (5-10 or so).

Then a poll will be set up and voting will take place for the remainder of the month. Whoever ends the voting period with the most votes wins Smiley

As a reward, we will use a picture of the winner's bike on the site banner for the following month.

There are PLENTY of deserving bikes, and I'm confident each month we will see lots of nominations.

Let the games begin! Post your nominations / seconds / acceptances here. Please don't clutter this thread up with your supporting posts :)

Kanticoy's Gretta .....First!
I'll grab up the photos if someone ends up giving it a second ;D

Hey Tim if this is too many photos I can go back and take some out. Just let me know. -
thanks, Troy
Edit: I decided to remove a few photos.

This is from the man himself:
Well, you know her well, and I finally can consider her complete. She started as a non running wreck of a bike that I bought for a few pennies and set out to build the cafe of my dreams. I feel like I succeeded.

I really appreciate all of your thoughts, wishes, encouragement, and bashes. If it weren't for teh DTT crew, Gretta would have never become what she has. I feel like this bike belongs to us all, because you guys had a hand in making her become what she is. To all of you out there who know who you are, I owe you my gratitude.

So here, without further adieu, is Gretta. Filmed in front of Barber's Motorsports Museum. She's hanging with legends here.

I would like to nominate Vince Lupo's 1966 Honda Superhawk:

This is a pretty darn nice bike, and I think deserves some credit. Here's to you, Vince!

I'd second Vince's CB77. It may not look as avant garde as that amazing Gretta, but it is the result of a single minded vision and has been continuously changed and improved to capture the spirit of the sixties cafe scene.

Many thanks for the nomination, though I don't know if I'm in the same league as Gretta. That bike's in a whole other dimension!

Remember folks - this is the nominations thread, not the voting ;) All the nominees will get a chance to post up as many pics/videos of their bikes in the Voting thread once we close nominations in a week or so.

Once we get up to 5 or so nominees I'll open up the voting.

Hey Tim you are absolutely right. I need to go back and narrow those pics down a bit and save this area for nominations. I got a little carried away, hehe.

Hey guys there are still Tons of Awesome bikes out there so lets get em nominated.

No worries on the pics - just want to keep folks focused on nominations :)

Grettas a nice bike, but the CL is so damn sexy, the pipes, the paint, its got it all.
I nominate the CL

Well guys, of course I accept the nomination. I really appreciate all of your kind words. Love that you guys appreciate her so much. Thank you all! I'm really blown away with the response to my little back yard build. Gretta is and will always be DTTs bike. If it weren't for all of you she would never be where she is now. I am in debt to you guys so much!
