CAFE CREME - BOARD.....TRACKER

Here's a few more current pix. Next stage is to get the lower frame connector plates [ front to back ] fitted, should be back from laser cutters on Friday. Then it's all the little detail items and final accessory fitting. The electrics tray will fit inside the lower frame connectors and be totally hidden - I'm trying to get a "back to the 1900's look" with no evidence of modern fuckery. However, me and electrics do NOT see eye to eye, so I'm going to have to get some help to get a schematic for the rudimentary wiring loom. Just basics, no lighting or silly idiot lights everywhere.

I've got a couple of my new neighbours coming round in a couple of weeks time to help me lift the bike off the bench and on to the new scissor ramp that I've bought. You've all heard the story of the guy that built a boat in his basement [ and Gibbs ] and then had to ge it out ? Well I've got to get an almost complete bike off the bench !!

The wheels and hubs look great man, that white is a nice color
It's Light Ivory - RAL # 1015.

The closest I could get to Bianchi's corporate colour.

The Blue / Green is also a Bianchi corporate colour, used on their bicycles- even today RAL # 6027.

In RAL terms it's "light green", but Bianchi call it "celeste blue".

Just waiting for the modified lower frame connectors to be laser cut and a few spacers and when fitted we can lift the bike off the bench [ !! ] onto my new scissor stand

Yes MT, almost where I should have been 2 years ago ! I just called in to the laser cutters who agreed a last minute change to the overall shape of the lower frame conector plates at no cost ! Here's a pic of the CAD pattern. [ cardboard aided design ]

My machine shop guy also came up trumps to make some essential spacers for me - back wheel and engine, AND with a 48 hour turnaround.

The Edoardo Bianchi signature scripts [ on both wheels ].

Looks good, TJ. The colors and proportions on this bike have that great period look. The little Vtwin looks right at home in that frame.

Thanx Luugo,

Overall I'm pleased with the peiod look I was aiming for. I've dropped n lots of little styling cues from the early 1900's as well as some period pieces.

The new spacers are installed now, only a few machining jobs to do, but all on the left side of the bike - that I couldn't get to while the bike was on the bench !

I've got to check and re-align [ probably ] the rear wheel / sprocket and possibly get a spacer made, hopefully that's the last of the outsource jobs I need doing, apart from a chain tensioner / wheel adjuster that I completely overlooked !!

Finally snagged a 250 "big block" ............. and only 6 miles from where I'm living.

£270 as is ....... I'll get more than that back after I've sold off all the parts I don't need.

Dang great score man, def should be a little profit in there after you part everything out, reuse what you need. What is the difference between this engine and the one currently sitting in the frame?

Identical engine cases etc - just larger bore. ....... oh and 11 bhp jump to 23 !!!!

Wow, can I handle all that power !!!!!

Conservatively I can score £600 - £700 on the parts that I don't need.

Bonus is that I get all the plugs and connectors for my wiring - plus additional relays, ECU, Igniter, coils, etc.,etc.

Almost ready to come off the bench onto my new scissor stand. Then I can finish off the left hand side that I couldn't get to on the bench !

Looking good, TJ.

Many thanx, it's been a long [ toooo long ] hard road to this point, but I can finally see an end - ah, not forgetting that I have to rebuild the new 250 motor that I've just obtained.

Bonus is that I have the complete loom, connectors, and electrics that I need to make up my new simplified loom.

Thanx for the encouragement guys.

There's still 101 little details to complete. And then there's the electrics ..... not my favourite topic.

However a pal says he will oversee it when the time comes. I'm doing all the simple stuff like mounting the components and setting up brass earth posts etc.

It does look like a bike now !!!!!!!!!!

Now it's beginning to feel real !!!!!
