"Cafe Racer" = Design Philosophy?

I guess the term "cafe racer" is now moving from fad style to design philosophy.

I think there are a lot of other terms they could have used to describe the design ethos they are going for but I guess "cafe racer" is popular at the moment. I wonder if the SEMA crowd would know what Bauhaus meant.

It's more than a design philosophy, it's a way of life!

I get up in the morning, drink my cafe racer coffee, brush my cafe racer teeth, and go to my cafe racer work place and do my cafe racer programming. I come back to my cafe racer house, eat cafe racer dinner, watch a bit of cafe racer TV, spend some quality time with the cafe racer wife, and then dream sweet cafe racer dreams in my cafe racer bed.

I get up in the cafe racer morning and do it all again.

I didn't choose the cafe racer life, it chose me.

I really like the fact that he even stated it is "rooted in custom culture in general" like "hotrods, and tuners". If it is a car being modded like a tuner, then it is a tuner. What makes it a "Cafe" car. Must have plans for a checkered racing stripe and pods.
