Nice bike. But not for the price! Especially since its missing some parts...

If he put a decent gauge cluster, front fork brace/fender, and a rear fender(even just a plastic one) I would consider offering $3200 at most if i had the money. ::)
it needs side panels, good lord the open triangle look is awful ,overdone ,worn out, useless , poser fashion statement ugly

looks bloody stupid
it is about as creative as taking a shit,it almost always sacrifices function and performance, the only reason everybody is doing it,is it is an easy, simple minded mod for simple uncreative minds

Why doesn't the tank match the seat??? If you're gonna go for that polish on the tank why leave the seat and tail in a dull metal? Makes it look like it isn't finished.

It's not about creativity, it's about creating some negative space... The creativity comes from the rest of the bike. And yes, it's subjective. I'm sure I don't like A LOT of the same stuff you like... Although kipper snacks are tasty.

In Seattle (my hometown) for a brief vacation and wedding, thought I would troll CL to see what pops up.

$800 not bad for a stock and clean (looking) RD200...

$550 for a clean CL100.

Amidst some of the usual overpriced garbage there seem to be a couple decent deals here...

Thank you, I thought I was the only one who thought this. I would have done the whole bike in bare metal though...Just because I don't like gloss/metallic paint that much.

Ouch. Badly done, overpriced, incomplete. No fenders or fork brace, crappy tires, low bars and stock pegs - nothing much good there. It's just a cheap lazy hack job that was not well thought through and poorly executed. I know that's not being very nice but someone is kidding themselves if they think what they have there is worth that sort of cash. If they are right, I need to start shipping bikes to LA to double or triple their prices. :)

I like bare metal too, but I think you have to either go all bare or all painted for it to look right. Obviously there are a lot of ways to mix the two as accents to make it look good, but as a general rule, I say do one or the other

Had one many years ago in Sydney. Great little bikes and I mean little. It's basically an RD125 with a bit more oomph and they can be made to run pretty well. Talking about "pretty", love the color. :)

I peruse LA craigslist occasionally and the one thing I've noticed is the price of cafe bikes is super inflated... It's a fashion thing there, I reckon.

Man, I would but for a couple things -- I'm only here once or twice a year on vacation, I'm broke, and I've got three projects back home in Boston. I'm guessing it won't last long. Hopefully it goes to a good home and not someone who'll tear it up.

Whats with the 60 inch swing arm? Those Nighthawks are not exactly wheelie machines, and the handling is OK stock, that long swing arm will make it handle like a 900 pound cruiser..... What a ruined bike....
