"Cafe Racer" such a loose term! Craigslist "Gem" of the week!

Little light weight mill/drill combo would be good for somebody dicking around in their garage. Not a terrible price on it.

I just want the set of straps.

Not a bad deal for what might be a pretty nice RD.

How or why does one convert a real race bike into a cafe racer. Isn't it suppose to go the other way around? ::)

On the punctuation and grammar issue, it's the difference between "Helping your Uncle Jack off the horse, and helping your uncle jack off the horse. ???

The guy is making the bike handle poorly and go slower. That is the exact meaning of converting a racer into a cafe racer.

$6K? It's NYC after all... still a turd.

Or spend a little more and get a little less... $6.5K

but it's a brat/café!

I have been included in dinner tabs bigger than either in the city. Perspective is hard to understand sometimes, but remember the haves and the have nots.

Had my 21st birthday in NYC. Right after I got one of my signing bonus checks when I was playing professional baseball. Not hard to run up a big tab in that city.

The seasoned vets in the waiting game make 6 figures... not that they don't spend a ton to commute and pay the price but NYC is an entertainment industry with a big ass bank.

A little perspective could be provided by an unmolested (well, muffler issue) 400F for 2 or 2.5 grand cheaper...

Those other bikes are ridiculous no matter where you are.

Maybe XB can explain suspension geometry to this guy.

I just don't understand the café bars with upright position foot peg location. I don't think I could ride a bike with that control layout for more than 5 minutes.

ETA - Oh wait, this is the famous Kingfish I've heard some much about??? Well in that case...

You can't turn the bars anyways (throttle hits tank) so you can only ride it as long as the street ahead of you is straight. End of driveway usually...

Kids will ride anything... I did and rode an RD with stock pegs and upside down bars a gazillion miles. Geometry may be spot on, didja get a protractor and tape on it? Seat is right in the sweet spot, but yer ass is gonna get wet and pelted with stones.

The swingarm and rear suspension is all wrong... Maybe. The lack of gusseting/ladder bracing would make for a sloppy ass.

Everything is more here. I look at when some of you posts the prices for bikes, part, or labor, and wish that was the case here!
