"Cafe Racer" such a loose term! Craigslist "Gem" of the week!

Apparently not because i raced to check and i cant find it :D

Edit, found 1, but you can have that one

Yeah me too. I did find new KZ pipes, but those are late design and are shit with a "zippy" note not the bark like a mastiff note. I know engineering likely improved perf but part of perf on a classic is the note.

Like the stock big foot collector header? I like my Frankenstein pipe way too much to change it, and likely will just build another.

Damn, I know these early XLCR's are rare but wow: 40K and reserve not met, no wonder this just relisted.

"Won at Sturgis" Damn, someone is trying to make a year's salary.
Won at Sturgis and still can't find a buyer, and never will if he says in that neighborhood.

No doubt. There is also this bit of craziness at 90k reserve not met.

Don't know why, but I kike that thing. Needs refinement and many upgrades, but for a day tripper to the hills with a backpack tent and some viddles... I'm all in.

I ran old Homestead back when the AFB was there... Best little town south of Miami back then. Andrew took a lot of it.

That's a Harley

Don't have to post a pic, just the write up is awesome enough...
"stuff wrong: RPM gauge not working, needs cable, i don't use it anyway. gas tank has hole in left side of tank from previous owner grinding down emblem mounts. I've fixed it with some JB weld and a screw. riding season so wanted a quick fix so I could keep riding. head gasket is leaking on #1 and #4 which is very common on the older CB's. still again runs fine. have done 2 top ends gaskets like this one needs. will do in spring if bike is not sold but price will go up.

This bike is ready to ride. I have many old stock parts that came off the bike. Title in hand. no low ballers as I'm not in a need to sell. I simply am done with the build up and working on another project. This is and has been a daily driver for me. I've put over 3000 miles on it since finished with the build."

I'm not sure what he's thinking, but they generally go about $12k around here. Maybe when he won it they told him $40k, which he'll have to pay taxes on.
