Whats the best way to get them unstuck? Someone suggested a propane torch?

yes
heat will do it along with some kind of erl penetran,t not too much heat tho
 
put it a heated ultrasonic cleaner with a 25 percent solution of water and purple power

i would love to have a good ultra sonic cleaner i am always looking for a good used one they get snatched quick
but i have never failed to unstick a carb slide with propane torch,you do have to be really careful, it would be easy to end up with scrap
 
I have had good results with the 1 gallon dip tanks from most auto parts stores, the Napa version seems to be faster at dissolving shellac... careful of the rubber parts, the solution will eat it over time.

I spit coffee, that is friggin hilarious, is Portland not the mecca for those whom the videos mock? There is a scientific correlation there for sure
