Carburettor Information

I guess you should also enter the location and estimated Elevation to get the jets right.

I had some issues earlier, so I returned all settings back to stock and bike ran ok. I ordered some more jets from 82/85/88/90/92 &95
DId a plug chop from 80 - 85 - 90 - 95 and they all showed the same result, all white tips... maybe I did something wrong?

process -
Engine was already warm.
run down the road (around 3km)
at the end swap the plug for a new one
go flat out in 3rd (around 75kph) for about 1km
kill engine and pull clutch
stop and change back to original plug and ride home.
Drop carburettor out and change Main jet.

I have run out of jets and need to order some more, possibly 97/100/103/105

On the pluss side, it takes me less than 2 minutes to drop the carb out now :)

I'll upload the photo of the plugs shortly.

I've knocked most of the white stuff off the ends sorry.

Wow that's a thorough job !

Modern fuels do make it harder to "read" a plug but FWIW I think the problem is the use of a new plug each time - ie there are no deposits on the plug to change colour . Unless the bike was really rich in which case you would end up with a black plug for sure but my suggestion would be to check with a used plug ?

Can you detect any difference with the different jets , starting running and why third is it up hill ?

Know how you feel I was having trouble with a two stroke and for the life of me couldnt work out if it was rich or not so I put a 1.5mm drill through it to check ......... ;)

can anyone point me to the ooracing jets that will fit the stock carby ? i need to upgrade as im running a little lean.

Hey Spocket,
I'm running 102.5 in my Chinese racing mukini carb,
can hang with Crazy off at the lights !
the man is a wipet thru the corners ! hahha
ran rich on a 105
setup on mine is 150 big bore/ valve kit and no air box with velocity stack, open exhaust
u can buy genuine Mukini jets locally through pitbike shops and ebay
for 5 bucks or so
let me know if u need details
cheers ACEitup

thanks mate. ive ordered a set of chinese jets from ebay that have 100, 105, 108, 110, 115, 120, 125, 130, 135 & 140 mains that look like the ame dimensions as the jet adrain at ooracing said would fit the stock ace carby. the jets are listed for a cg 125 so its a good place to start , but if i need a smaller jet then 100 ill let you know.

Hi mate yeah they are the same ones
, dont know if they fit yey, havent had a chance to take the carby off. but i also got an 00racing jet to compare sizes and it looks real close, it is jst a little shorter by a 1mm in the head length, so im thinking i might put a 0.5mm washer i have on the jet to lower it into the float bowl more to match the stock jet length.
but the rest of the jet looks the same as the oo race one. same diameter thread pitch etc.
hope that helps.

Is it possible (or better: wise) to fit a 30mm carb on the bike?
I have a freeflow exhaust, but no other mods. Will be getting a new ooracing cdi soon.
Or will the 303 kit do just fine? Keeping the stock carb with some ooracing internals?

The aim: reaching 120... Km/h.

30mm will probably be too big.

CDI won't make any difference to speed.

120 is definitely possible.

A well designed exhaust system was the second best improvement on mine (coupled with re-jetting of course).
The best improvement by far was the150cc kit!
