Cb 125T Cafe Racer on a budget

So i got the fender tacket up

Bummer is I like the chrome look but had to grind the chrome off to weld on the brackets properly so i'll have to paint it, probably black...

Next i need to take of the rear suspension and weld it proper so it won't break under vibration.

so small updat, got myself a new chain, front and rear sprocket.

went in the rear from 39 to 41 teeth because in 5th gear the engine didn't seem powerfull enough and fell back to 7k rpm, with top speed of 90km/h in 4th at 11k rpm. with the new setup the bike has an awesome response and goes up to 110km/h in 5th and keeps running around the 9 to 10k rpm!

well worth the money!

didn't get any pics of the new chain and sprockets on the bike but will get some up as soon as i clean it up a bit because there's yellow grease everywhere right now, lol.

Very motivational build to read up on, nice going.
I'm also from Belgium and just started a CB125t project myself.
Can't wait for the next update!

haven't really done anything to the bike anymore except riding it, maybe i'll pull out the anglegrinder again as soon as summer is over

Wow it has been some time, good to be back! So some things have been done to this bike over the last 5 years...


Engine overhaul after the thing started smoking too bad and spark plugs were getting contaminated by the oil:
-New gaskets
-New cilinder kit
-New clutch plates

Frame got some minor adjustments:
Finally grinded off the tabs of the original side covers and welded in some 'bracing' (i just liked this look). Also decided to drill the made up battery tray.

Also totally remade the rearsets and converted the rear brake to a cable actuated brake because movement in the brakepedal was very noticable when braking while going over bumps. Don't have pics of that right now but will be uploading some later on.

Few small hastles as some leaking fork seals, failing electrics and a nut of a valve tappet that decided to take a dive into the engine (which was recovered by removing the engine and shaking it upside down with the rocker cover off). Besides this the bike didn't miss a beat in all those years and is still part of the collection.

Oh also, the tank has aged and started to form rust under the 2K clearcoat which makes it interesting to look at!
