CB/CL360 Key Switch Wires

Key switch has the following wires:

Red
Black
Brown
Brown/White

No continuity on any when in the OFF position as I'd expect.

Turn to ON and have continuity through the Red and Black as I'd expect.

Turn the switch to the PARK position and there's continuity through Red and Brown. I'm assuming that if I choose to use this feature the Brown would be cut into the tail light lines, also assuming that if I decide not to have a PARK feature I can just eliminate this.

The Brown/White stripe doesn't seem to have continuity w/ anything. What is it for and what is suppose to power it? Can I eliminate it?

Looks like the brown/white might illuminate the gauge back lights, and only if the kill switch was in the run position. W the key in park position.
I have no idea why you would want this.

So if you stopped along a dark roadside, shut bike off to talk w a prostitute. Switch your key to Park position. Your tail light would let cars coming up from behind see you. Because only the tail light would be lit. So not a big drain on the battery. Then when the prostitute asks, "How many miles you got on this bike?" you smoothly switch the kill switch to "run" position your gauges would light up so you could read the odometer...without having to fumble w the key switch in the dark.

Im guessing this is the reason.

For the info on the Brown/White wire it sounds logical and very much like I'll be able to just delete is and never miss it. Thanx!

As for the part about talking w/ a prostitute... all I can say is that based on the extreme number of seemingly accurate details in your theorem you must have a large amount of experience with this. Around here all you are going to find on a dark roadside is a corn field and maybe some deer.
