Re: CB200 '73 tracker project
Hey guys! thanks for the nice comments!
Things are going fast now, i think it might take a few more weeks to finish this bike!
Here are some new pics
We installed the ignition lock. In all those years, nobody lost a single key
The rear shock-absorbers i got for my birthday were the wrong type...so i'm trying to switch them for others. Meanwhile, i painted the old ones white to see how that would look, and actually like it.
Another closer picture of the front brake calliper Bert installed recently.
Liked this gear selector better, but it had to be modified in order to fit my bike.
Bert took my original cb200-headlight so i had to use the old one from my cb125. Used to be candygold. Is not anymore. Sorry honda-paint!
Took a few hours to sand the headlight bucket. I used sanding paper with a very big grit because i like the texture it creates. After that a lot of clearcoat and wetsanding. I'm happy with the result. It is not as smooth as my tank but i did it all by myself so i don't care.
And last but not least: i made lamp ears. On my own. YEAHH!!! I'm so proud of myself. Bert is laughing at me because of my enthousiasm over a pair of DIY lamp ears, but fuck yeah, i made them
First thing EVER i made out of metal.
A small step for mankind, but a giant leap for me. I don't like the angle grinder (my imagination is too vivid, i see all the bloody things that might happen with that thing, chopped of heads and arms and stuff) so i'm proud i made these out of a scrap metal plate. 8)
I used exhaust clamps to mount them to the forks.
The result until now. Very happy with it. Learning new stuff everyday!
Thanks for watching, goodnight!
