Cb350 help, clutch cover stator wire clip position?

I don't have an extra bike laying around for comparison. But am wondering if this clip looks right. Is it supposed to go under the rubber grommet, or under the Phillips bolt and metal washer? What is the purpose? Thanks.

That doesn't look like a clip. It looks like the Neutral light switch which should touch the cam when it's in neutral.

It's also in really bad condition by the looks of it.

Like teazer said, its the neutral switch. The copper coloured clip looking thing doesn't look correct in your pictures, it should be tucked in so the tip rides on the cam surface. Here is a picture of mine.
