CB350 Steampunk Frankenstein Cafe thing called Isabel

Heh, yup, Li'l ol' Tassie. Thanks guys, I never get tired of hearing people saying nice things... ;)

Tyres are Shinko SR777 100/90 19" on the front and Dunlop K177 120/90 18" on the rear (which is actually a front-only tyre [for a Goldwing I believe], but I haven't found it to be any kind of problem so far).

I love copper too, I did a CB550 nighthawk with copper front fender and engine covers.
I did the frame in black powder coat, with alas copper crazier paint, and the tank.

Got some pics?

Yeah mate, I'll try and knock something up when I get a chance. I didn't take a hell of a lot of photos during the making of it, but I'll jot down what I can remember.

yeah anything would help, i love how its done

buy the looks of the pictures. i doubt just any old clip on youtube would show up here. my guess is we'll all be waiting a bit while some kind of professional short film de noir is written, shot, edited, and premiered online here. ;)

aw shit man....youre an ausie?....this esplaines a lot

"Because iocane comes from Australia, as everyone knows, and Australia is entirely peopled with criminals, and criminals are used to having people not trust them, as you are not trusted by me, so I can clearly not choose the wine in front of you"

I was actually planning on getting some nice video while I was doing the shoot, but ran out of time. I'll see what I can sort out in the next few weeks though... maybe not quite a full scripted noir affair though... but it IS tempting....

Hhaha, none taken. Nothing offensive about being Australian... well, except for the accent, and the occa reputation, and the general offensiveness... but we're not all Paul Hogans... Strewth, could be worse... could be a septic... ;)

... I was just glad to have an opportunity to use the movie reference...accent?....my gps is set to the ausie chick voice....i watch dancing with the stars just to hear Kims voice....I have a secret crush on Isla Fisher......oh, shit, did I say that out loud?

A very good Aussie friend of mine whose family arrived in Australia on the first fleet always says if his people had been religous zelots rather than criminals he would be an American.

Sorry to hi-jack your thread, I'll get my coat. Taxi!

Thanks Sam!

Bowser, I pulled the gauges apart, copper-plated the housings, designed the faces and had them chemically etched out of 0.25mm sheet brass and replaced the needles with clock hands. Still fiddling with the lighting of them... they're not quite right yet.

Oh, and my brass foot pegs finally arrived after being lost in the post for 2 months! And they look awesome. Will get some pics up in the next few days.

Isabel looks much better than the bike you posted a pic of as your inspiration back on page one of this thread. Awesome build!!!

Excellent, I like this a lot. Good job all around. The look of real metal is beautiful.
Cheers, 50gary
