CB360 - Progressive Suspension...HD rates or no?

Been Around the Block
Im looking at getting some Progressive rear shocks for my CB360 and am not sure if I should get the HD springs or not. Now, I am by no means a lightweight at 230lbs, so Im leaning to HD. However, I also want a comfortable around-town ride. The bike will not be tracked and is not my daily rider.

Not that we don't have a lot of experts here, but why not ask Progressive which spring they have is best for your bike and er, body style?

They will have a good idea about it.....

I suspect, at your body weight (same as mine), the HD springs are more appropriate so the amount of sag is right.....

Even at your weight, HD springs are designed for a bike that's 250-400lbs heavier than your 360 (depending on what model HD they're for). They'll work but you'll have a super stiff ride.

Follow up question: Im about to install my new Progressive shocks this week and am wondering if I'm ok to leave off the "dust covers" that fit over the top of the spring. I don't see what function they serve (structurally speaking) and I don't care for the look. Without them, the shocks retain a more OEM look, which I greatly prefer.

It probably won't be until next weekend but I will post pics both here and in my build thread (see sig).

Just put these on and they sit up about 1" higher than OEM. Is this normal? Im not sure Im sold on the geometry change they made. Thoughts?

I put some CB650 shocks on mine (sat about 1" higher) and didn't care for the feel of the bike. Went back to the stock ones even though they weren't as stiff as desired. I'll be swapping over to Hagons in the near future.
