CB360T problems

Yep. That's why it's going off every time you turn the key on. All the starter button is supposed to do is ground the relay. Since the relay is under your seat, the yellow red wire does that job. It's really a ground wire, if you think about it. Not a power wire.

Change the wiring at the starter solenoid. Instead of power at the solenoid, provide a ground wire. Leave the switch as you have it with r/y on the no contact, When you push the button, power will flow from the black wire, thru the switch, thru the r/y wire to solenoid then to ground. Release the button and power flows to your headlights.

Or just wire it like it's supposed to be wired and don't worry about your light being on since it's not enough juice to make any difference in starting.

Update: I jumpered the tail light to black and now it works in 1st position on they key, I am fine with that. So now I have brake lights, tail light, and spark. Looking back at my description of my start button, it seems as though I could take that common terminal to ground and then use that button as a switchable ground for both the starter and the headlight. To do that I would just take 12V to the black/yellow For the headlight power and then wire the headlight ground to the black/red on the starter button(NC). I tried that and couldn’t get the headlight to come one. My brain is fried so I just stopped for the night.

And then I had an epiphany, and now the headlight works, cuts out when the starter is engaged, and the starter works. Thanks for all of the help and advice. Felt like I was chasing my tail.

So my front turns have power. My hi beam indicator works, and my Neutral light works. The problem is the headlight turns off when I pull in the clutch lever (I am assuming it’s causing a ground somehow), and the high beam indicator light comes on. And when I switch to hi beam, my signals turn off, and also without a flasher I don’t even think the signals are supposed to have power. But the neutral light works, I didn’t pop a fuse, and those gauge lights are brighter than I thought. Progress.

Dual filament bulbs in the front turns of a 360... it's been a long time since I had mine going w/ stock turn units, but it seems like those are marker lights that are on w/ low beam and off w/ high beam. (?) Marker lights and turns on the front and only turns on the rear. Others on here may have better memory of this, I could be wrong. Yeah, headlight shouldn't turn off when the clutch is pulled.
