Sorry, let me clarify:
The original front sprocket on my cl175 had a step turned onto the backside of it to keep it a constant distance from the case. It also had a small lockwasher that bolted onto the front of the sprocket. When i ordered a new sprocket, the teeth were the same width, but there was no step turned onto the back - it was flat. The new one came with the same clip as what's pictured with Joe's sprocket. That's why i mentioned the spacing.

i had to take the original lockwasher and put it behind my new sprocket to keep the original spacing (and so the sprocket wouldn't slide back and forth on the output shaft). I would hope the 520 conversion kit wouldn't have the same problem as me - just wanted to play it safe.

Thanks for the tips :) I'll check it out.

Hey Man, Did you get that Acewell gauge wired up ok??? I just got it for my 72 cb450 and I'm having a hell of a time figuring out the wiring. I have both the diagram from the bike and the gauge but I can't figure out which wires from the gauge go to which on the bike. If you have gotten this hooked up, i would REALLLLLLY appreciate a little help man. As you know the gauge isn't exactly cheap and I'm a step away from giving up. So any help would really be appreciated. my email is petemaresco@gmail.com thanks a million man.

HAHA thanks buddy for your comment.

Sure! Don't worry as soon as the engine will be in i'll strap the bike down. I had to remove it from the frame since I bent the valves in it... :(

See ya.

Excellent build so far. This looks like a very promising Bike. Great work man. keep it up. I htink this thread in particualr is very good, because you are posting many many photos for everyone to see your progress. The tank came out great, the seat came out awsome. I can't wait to build my CB450.

That's so awesome! Love all those parts.

I have no idea whether it would effect this but are you sure all those filters etc wont hinder the flow of fuel? I had some issues with flow on my 400T with flow because of that.

Congrats on all the progress.

Thanks to both of you.

To anwer your question, I don't think that the filter fill impact the fuel flow. DCC told me that with one filter in line for 2 carb its was working fine with there test, I went better, 2 fiter for 2 carb so the flow is 2 times better then with there test. Worst case, I unplug them.

Thanks!

I enjoyed this thread so much and it's given me much inspiration to rip into my project ('74 CB450). Great idea with the gauges, I always hated the dull uneven light from the stock bulbs. I wish I could post a thread like this but I get too excited when I'm working...no time for pics! Anyway, great job all around!

I know :) same for me usualy but I try to pace myself and to take a picture once in a while :).

Mine have an arrow indicating direction of fuel flow.

The bike is looking great. I just caught the thread, but will be watching from here on out.

How many miles did the motor have on it before you rebuild? And did it run at all?
