Charity group build

Gage Werke Composites

Been Around the Block
OK, guys. Looking through the first edition of the DTT book and seeing the Toronto Group build I had an idea. Lets do a group build and raffle it off for charity. We can pick the charity and we can pick the build type all while reprenting Do the Ton. I was thinking about building something british (Triumph, BSA, etc..) Any ideas? What do you guys/gals think?

I think it's a cool idea. Depening on the location, I'd be happy to help in any way I can.

Well, the rest of my build crew is in southern oregon, I'm in Eugene, and I imagine we'd have some help out of portland too. I have the shop and tools/welders at my location. We could meet in the middle here in eugene.

Always down for a trip to the "Eug". I used to live right by the McMenamins near campus. I miss that town. If this thing gets off the ground, or you make it up to the Portland/Vancouver area, drop me a line. I'll PM you my email.

Sounds good. Should I be keeping my eye out for a donor bike? If so, any idea what you'd like to start with or is it just dependent on the deal?

I would imagine we'd probably be looking for something Japanese, to keep costs within reason.

Open for anything. British would be best but like you said, sourcing parts would be a pain in the arse. So metric would be fine too. Just keep an eye out for a donor bike (preferably w/ title and paperwork). If you come accross anything just let us know. Would be a good winter/spring project.
