Cheap Panniers

SONICJK

Reminds me of...me No, I'm sure of it. I hate him
Stumbled across this yesterday and ordered a pair for the DR650. They turned up this morning (like 12 hours after order ahha)
They look great for 120 bucks, nice and cheap for an aluminum pannier.

Figured I'd share for any of you other cheap ass adv folks.
They aren't Touratech quality but they will sure as hell work to slap on my DR. Probably a little thinner than ideal but I think they will work fine. We'll see what happens once I fall over a few times.

Seems very reasonable - just a flat sheet of aluminum on the side that you'll need to bolt onto something?

Yep, I'll fab up some sort of quick release probably so I can take them off easily.
Fun winter project.

There are black ones on ebay too. They even have a medium and large size.
  • Small case measures 17.8" L x 10.6" W x 15.4" H; weighs 10.2 lb. and holds 34 liters
  • Medium case measures 17.8" L x 11.4" W x 15.4" H; weighs 10.3 lb. and holds 40 liters
  • Large case measures 17.8" L x 12.6" W x 15.4" H; weighs 10.4 lb. and holds 46 liters
I might have to look at a small and a large for my tiger. I have the factory panniers but don't like the side opening.

There are lock sets on ebay too https://www.ebay.com/itm/Moose-Raci...ge-5-Locks-4010-0281-/163461030405?nav=SEARCH

Well the regular price in the US is 300+ each, I think they are clearing inventory.
I would not pay 350 bucks a piece for them (what they were initially asking) but for 120 it's a great deal IMO.

The latches are really cool. They are a knockoff of touratech's latch.
They work as a latch so you can remove the whole top, or a hinge so you can open one side and hinge it up. Really quite clever.

Ooh I may have to grab a set of those. Glad I can send them to Maine to get the deal. Might look funny on the GL but my soft bags are in pretty rough shape right now.

LOL, you're probably right. I just got her into the basement an wiped a layer of cement dust off her to get ready for the winter maintenance, I want new shocks so maybe longer ones are in order and I hate the front fender on it so a dirtbike style maybe should go on there.

You'll be the king of nonsensical vehicles with the Baja Yaris and the ADVGL.
