Chroming and Polishing services in Chicagoland

Can anyone recommend a place that does chroming and polishing in the Chicagoland area. Thanks for the help.

I don't know if this is exactly what you're looking for but there's LOKO performance coatings in Oak Lawn. http://www.lo-ko.com/

I've never used them but have seen their work many, many times in person. It's very good.

I was going to recommend LO-KO too. I personnaly have not used them but know people who do and have heard nothing but good things about them. I'll probably go there when I am ready.

Give them a call, they have some special ceramic coats. I think they look like chrome. They probably do because my neighbor builds race engines and the headers I've seen appear chrome....and black too.

I actually found a place only 5 minutes from my house called Superior Polishing. He has all the stuff that I need chromed and polished and I just waiting on the price quote. He is also stripping 3 pieces so they can be powder coated. I will post pics once I have everything back.

How did Superior turn out? Good, bad or ugly?

I need some parts chromed and I'm not far from there

I haven't gotten the parts back yet. I did get the rims and front fender back after he de-chromed them. No they need to get PC. For all the parts I'm having him do it's going to be around $1000.

FYI, I emailed Lo-Ko about their powder coating services. They charge about $200 to blast and powder a frame and about $15 to blast and coat smaller pieces (depending on the color, I'm guessing black is the cheapest). Expect 1 to 1.5 week turnaround time...I hope that info helped out...

I got a polisher from Eastwood and have been polishing my motor. If anyone is looking for a not-expert, but presentable results, message me. I plan on putting some photos up on my thread soon...

what you need polished... our shop does polishing and powder we are located in woodstock... either that or i can walk you though how to polish and you can do it on your own save some money and build a skill!

depends on the frame and color... but typically you are around 200 - 250 for a frame... tank also depends on color you are looking to do... that can range from 150 - 350 depending on the tank and what is required... all our tanks we strip, blast, primer, block sand, base coat... gloss tanks are cleared, wet sanded and buffed... no easy process with powder but that is why we do what we do... comes out baller!

The frame is a CB350, and the tank is a late 70's CB750. It's a totally straight tank, a nice candidate for powder. I live in Delavan WI, & we have powder coating shop in town that did the same style tank for my '77 CB750 last year (copper metallic), and it turned out great. However from your website I can tell you guys are definetely a step above- some of those colors I didn't even know were possible with powder! My main mission is to get my tank done in that crazy looking lime green color. I've had it in my head, but haven't actually seen it until I checked out your site.
