Cj360 check valve cover

I just removed the hole valve cover to check that the engine delivers oil to the top, if all surfaces are wet from oil and there are no coloration, I should be good to go right?

The journals are the surfaces that the cam sits in, you won't be able to view it unless the top end is disassembled.

The cam looks exactly as it did when I assembled the motor :) what's the cam journals?
Did you just reassemble the motor? That's important information. Yes, if you're getting oil in the galleys, then you should be good to go. If the cam journals are showing signs of spalling then that will suggest it's not getting enough oil to the top end. The cam itself can also spall.

I assembled the hole bike from boxes over the last couple of years and drove it a little last year , so as an insurrance, that i did everything ok , i took the top off to check , because I've read a lot about top end problems. The surface/journals that the cam sits in are also wet from oil, but the two baths are not filled up completely with oil, only enough so that the lifts on the cam dips in the oil! Is that understandable?
