Colorado Crew!!!!!

I am so stoked!

Just found this thread after lurking for months and I had no idea there were so many cool bikes in CO.

So what I've got is a '77 cb750f. It was garaged in '88 and basically all original, but, I just cant help myself. I can't leave anything stock and I've already started in on it and gotten it running.

Hope to see some of your bikes in person someday. :)

It's been awhile since I've been on here. The bike is almost done and was wondering if anyone has been riding?

There's also a show on Sept. 11 downtown. Carnage on Larimer. Anyone going?

Carnage was weaker than before. My tattoo shop is at 2229 Larimer, and we have always been pretty invloved with our community, but the photog guy who puts on that car show has burned so many bridges with the Ballpark Neighborhood crew that it's not gonn a last.

The weather was nice.....It's been pretty nice riding temp.

BTW nice bikes!

Thanks. When do you guys usually meet? Would be down to hang with others around here. Probably won't do a ride with ya'll (a 175 isn't exactly gonna keep up with much).

We usually meet up and have a beer or coffee....I'll let you know when we meet up or you can let me know if you want to meet up. I can get some of the guys together.

Hey, I have been checking this site out for awhile and just found this page. I have a '73 xs650 that i have been rebuilding after I pulled it from a junk yard. I got it as a semi roller; frame, wheels, fork, and seized engine... Should have it done in the spring. If anyone has parts let me know, I could use them. Oh I live in Fort Collins btw...

Welcome Horror! Keep us posted on the progress of the bike. BTW, bike night this Thursday at the 404 club on Broadway.

Hey other guy from Fort Collins. I'm building a cafe in here in town too. Perhaps when our bikes are done we could start a gang and go cruise College Ave. with the diesel trucks on Friday nights.

Fell in love with Denver and was dragged back to MN. But I'm throwing out a shout anyways, cause some day I shall return for good. :D

SEEKING PROJECT BIKE IN DENVER AND SURROUNDING!!!

Hello,
I am looking for a TITLED, complete/nearly complete, project bike. Ideally it would be running/semi-running.

I am very interested in classic/vintage UJM (Universal-Japanese-Motorcycle) with 750cc's or more (750cc and up preferred but would also seriously consider a Yamaha XS650). I would LOVE to find something like a "mid-70's" to "early "80's" Honda CB, Honda GL , Suzuki GS, or Yamaha XS.

I am partial to bikes that are of larger displacement as I am a larger fellow, but will definitely consider any bike 750cc's and larger.

Cosmetics, vintage, brand are unimportant. Overall condition is looked at as not all that important as long as the bike has the ability to run without any MAJOR surgery. I would appreciate not having to completely re-wire, or completely disassemble the motor. However, I am open to all condition motorcycles as I am seeking a "PROJECT" bike. I am aware of the needs that bikes of this vintage require, so no reasonable bike will be ignored.

TITLE, OVERALL CONDITION, and COST are important. Please no seized motors. Running or not ...most bikes considered.

If you have that project bike, and you know you are never going to get around to it, or motorcycle that is just laying around taking up valuable garage space, that you just want to get out of the way, PLEASE let me know what you have. I would be glad to come take it off your hands.

Thanks guys,
Madcap

Hey ajaf,

Welcome, I''m guessing I'm the other guy in FoCo. Building a 76 CB550 and digging into a 68 Cl175 this winter. Glad to hear there are more here in the fort! Hows you're progress on the bike? I'm fighting with getting mine titled at the moment. close though.

Can anyone in Colorado recommend a good motorcycle machine shop near or around Boulder? I'm looking to get some milling, cylinder honing and some snapped screw removal done.

Thanks!
