CV carbs and pod filters

And just a reminder that just as all pods are not created equal, so also, all CV carbs are not created equal. I run BS40 CV Mikunis on a 2 stroke with pods or velocity stacks that they are fine. They used to be all over the map but they are OK now.

Probably the worst crabs to set up on pods are 3 jet Keihins on Honda twins and DOHC 4's. Honda's answer to block off one of the two main jets and corresponding air jets to try to get them to work on their RCB endurance racers. The late great Leon Moss used to drill air compensating passages and add tubes and all manner of strangeness to get them to work acceptably.

Kaz Yoshima kept the stock airbox on his CB900 until he moved up to CR straightbore slide carbs. No simple jetting solutions for those guys and they were the top of the tree.

M8 !

how can you have an empty triangle like everbody else with an airbox ?

The results seem to be fantastic, I think they got buddies to write them as I know some of the things they are selling can't possibly work

Lol that is genius.

My question is wtf happened to your screwdrivers? Lol

as i am only new to this CV carb thing, i have guessed that emgo or the cheapy versions of pods area NO GO. i have however just bought some K&N filters. i have re jetted mains to 2 over and pilot to 1 over as per my research. is there anything else i need to be aware of.
obviously, i need to make sure no air leaks on vac side, that's a given.
