Looking forward to meeting the local crew.

Hey guys and gals. My name is Christian, I am a 39 year-old married father of one little girl. I live in Plano, TX, I play a little bass guitar and some guitar with my band. I work as a respiratory therapist at Children's and ride one of three bikes. I have a 2002 Yamaha R1, I ride my wife's 2007 BMW F650 and I have a 2007 Yamaha WR450F that is currently a supermoto but I would like to start the transformation into a cafe bike. I am originally from upstate NY where I only got to ride 8 months a year at best, hence my move here! Once upon a time, I was an ironworker but I haven't used those skills very much in years. I am handy around mechanical things and can usually take it apart and put it back in working order... usually! :) I hope to meet you all out soon,
Cheers

David here, I live in the North Fort Worth/Keller area.
Stoked to see so many other Fort Worth riders here! "Where the West begins.."

Had a 79 CB125S I rode to Mods v Rockers. Now I have this 78 CB750F.

Anyone ever head up to Ozzie Rabbit Lodge on Lancaster (off 820)? Me and a few other moto buddies (bikes of all sorts) usually stop there Sundays during riding.
We should get a Fort Worth cafe crew to meet up there regularly.

I really need to start looking at this site more often. Did not realize this thread was here.

Robert "Crash" Pursley. Live in West Fort Worth. No Kids. Work at Cycle Gear on Alta Mere. Recent build is a 1974 CB750 Rat / Chop. About to start on a 74 cb200t mild cafe / resto.

Anyone needing parts or info can give me a call at 817-696-9700, ask for Crash. Most will have to be ordered, but at least you can get or give some advice in person.

Hi all,

I'm a llloooooooonnngg time lurker of this site... I think I've probably read half of your builds. Finally done moving from state to state and settled down with my wife and kiddo in Keller.

I currently only have a little CRF250R for poodling around in the dirt. My road bikes have all been sold, but it's time to replenish the herd. Hope to find a good bike soon and meet you guys out for a ride. I asked to join the FB group, too.

Thanks!
chris

I happen to come across Junior's number from another forum, CafeHusky.com, and he told me about this site. I do some bike molesting, but nothing so old school like most of you on here. I have a 2011 Daytona 675 and a 2012 Husqvarna SMR 511.

One of the many SMR511 projects.

And the other one that is on the burner

Daytona 675 as it sits.
