DO THE TON BIKE OF THE MONTH
Our NOMINEES:

Here are the Nomination Rules:

1. Nominate one of our members' bikes for Bike of the Month - include up to 3 flattering pictures of the bike in question. This is an opportunity to recognize someone who's bike has inspired you.

Please don't nominate your own bike - make sure you have a well detailed build thread, post up in the Show n Shine area etc. and if enough people like your bike, someone will nominate it and maybe you'll see it as our banner in an upcoming month!

The Nomination must be accompanied by the member's User Name, a link to the thread where their bike is best described (Build thread, Show n Shine etc.) and a PHOTO of the bike in question.

2. Someone seconds the nomination (please only second one nomination)

3. Member should accept the nomination - If you're nominating a bike, make sure you're in contact with the owner, that they want the bike included and they accept the nomination. The Nominee should provide some back-story on the project, especially if there is a limited build thread.

4. Bike must be in running roadworthy condition - no basket cases. I know our bikes are never really 'finished' but it should be on the road/track/dirt and rideable.

5. If a bike has been nominated in the previous month but did not win, it should not be included in the current month's contest. Wait 3 months to allow other worthy nominations and then resubmit if you like.

6. Bikes that have won in prior contests should not be included unless they have been modified significantly.

We will accept nominations for a few days till we have a good selection to a limit of 3 bikes per contest.

A poll will be set up and voting will take place for a week or so depending on timing. Whoever ends the voting period with the most votes wins :D

I know we don't want this beautiful Airhead to win by default :) Need at least one more bike to get the contest up!

My 550 isn't done. No side covers yet and I haven't made the seat cover. Plus I blew the clutch raising hell in my neighborhood on it's maiden voyage. I suspect this will be my only shot at a nomination, but i think it should at least have a seat cover. LOL . Granted, there is no way in hell I beat that gorgeous airhead anyway.

So this is a sad state of affairs. Jan 31 and we only have 1 bike in the running? It's worthy of BOTM for sure, and if we don't have another nomination, then so be it.

Might be time to wrap up the BOTM contest :p

While I know it's more work for you (and it's VERY much appreciated!), I'd hate to see that happen. We have great builds here and this is a great way of recognizing them. For what it's worth, I know that every month when I see the nominations have been opened I find myself thinking, "Oh yeah, what was that great new build I saw a couple weeks ago?" and then either can't remember who did the build and can't find it or (more likely) I get busy and promise myself that "I'll look around for it this evening." and then promptly forget. If I can I'll try to figure out a better way to remember the new completions that come along. Maybe others on here feel the same way????

I'm fine with holding off for competition....

People are indeed working on their bikes rather than finishing them up.

Well he's not listed as a BOTM Winner, so it's fair game (he was also on the site just a few days ago - always nice to nominate active members).

Well, I've already dun nominated one this month, don't think it would be appropriate for me to do another one, but come on, DTT folks, there are good bikes out there. How about some of the very worthy non- winners from the last few months?

I'm following a lot of builds that will likely be worth a nod for BOTM, they are all just not finished yet. And the recent finishers have all been in so can't re-nominate until next month.
