If you have a BMW R50, R50/2, R50S, R50US, R60, R60/2, R60US, R69, R69S, or R69US (or if you have a friend or relative who does)

I’ve never owned any, but a couple local brothers get me to work on their R69’s.

Afraid not. Boring bikes but beautifully made and smooth as silk. mate of mine had an R69S back in in the day and it was a very nice bike.

So enough of the sidetrack, are you thinking of buying one or?

Cool. Can you use a Clymers for when you work on them, Irk?

Nah, just have a Clymer's for the things that needs a good home.

Guess I could have said that my R1150R is looking for a docile girlfriend.

I've been using a combination of experience and the internet to this point. LOL. Can't say it would hurt to have a Clymer for them, but I think they sold all three. They've been sending their Guzzi Californias lately.

I have several friends that own /2 bikes

R69S / R69US / R60US / R50/2

I think are what is in our circle.

They are a wonderfully-fantastic, casual-putt around the country side bike.

I had an R50 a long time ago. It was beat when I bought it, but ran pretty good. Parts were prohibitively expensive back then and most service had to be done at the equally expensive dealer. I sold it before it became a money pit.

The old R series BMW's are dead easy to service, almost like someone designed it that way/ :D
The new 'high cam' models are a different matter though as they have some major electronics controlling just about everything.

I'll just hang onto the Clymer's for now then. If somebody writes and says they want it OR if somehow one of the critters ends up wandering into my shop I'll know where it is. (Yeah, famous last words.)

If you are trying to give away the clymert's to a new home, I couild use one. Mine is falling apart after 40 years of ownership. I've got a R60/2 and an R26. Post here if you want to get rid of it to a new home where it will be appreciated.

Yup, I'm trying to find a new home for it. Send your address via IM and I'll send it to you. It's been sitting on a shelf here for ages and I'll be happy to see it go to someone who'll put it to good use.

Dang, too slow.
I have a 60 R60 that is technically *not* a /2, so it's probably just as well.
Cheers for passing it on to a good home!
