Does thetankshop.com still make and sell their products?

Has anyone been in contact with this business or had dealings with them recently? I live in Australia and haven't been able to connect with them.
Any advice would be great

I had to laugh, if you want to talk to them on the phone you have to mail them a letter, WTF. 40 weeks out for a tank.

It seems like most businesses that build alloy tanks have compunction issues :(

Compunction: a feeling of guilt or moral scruple that follows the doing of something bad.

How does that apply here?

Stupid autocorrect. I'm meant "communication issues". Oops! But compunction seems like a word I wouldn't mind slipping into some day to day discussion :)

I had to look it up, never heard it used before.
I suspect that if they are 10 months behind, the last thing they need is to be bothered answering the phone all day. They probably sit down and read emails at the end of the day and answer the important ones then. It's not like you're going to miss a time frame with them that far behind.

Contact Junior Burell - Retro Moto. He builds tanks, fairings, bikes - you name it. He's also a stand-up guy, long time DTT member and incredibly skilled at what he does.

I placed an order with The Tank Shop in September 2009. They promised delivery by Christmas (didn't mention what year though). Still no sign of the tank by the following July, so I cancelled the order. Luckily no deposit changed hands.
Have you tried Tab 2 Classics? http://www.tabclassics.com/

Hi semins. I looked at Tab online and I like the shapes and finishes of their tanks but all of their images showed some very poor welding at the base of every design. I just cant see past it Unless they have changed the person doing the welding or changed where the seams run. Thanks for your advice. Cheers.

After zero response from many companies that apparently "support" this site and its members I have just ordered a tank from Tab Classics.. Lets see how it goes :)

Thanks guys for the advise and comments.

does anyone have more info on "Junior Burell - Retro Moto". I cant find a gas tank i like so I'm gonna look into retro moto. His site is a little empty so I'm trying to see examples of his work. Has anyone had any experiences with them?

Good luck Hybrid_Cr. I found that Tab classics are the only ones who reply to emails and answer a phone.
I had to order one of their existing designs as they are too busy for one-offs at the moment.

No problem as I liked the shapes. Cheers Troy
