Drivable scaled Ferrari 312pb

Just catching up on this thing and I'm nothing short of amazed. Great work! Your talent in such a versatile set of skills are impressive!

I'm with ridesolo on this with the flat 6/12 nod as well as the V 4/8. I've ridden a flat 6 wing and currently own an st1300, and of both bikes I've always thought that the power was so impressive. The V4 has a very great sounding exhaust note when fitted with slip ons. It also helps drown out the gear driven cams that earned it the nickname "Jetsons bike" due to only hearing the high pitched whine of the cam drive. Lol

After riding it throughout numerous states and long rides, I hope you build the next one to be able to much some miles, as the motors will be more than happy to do so

I'm excited to continue to watch the progress!

Thank you! I didn't realize the st1300 has gear driven cam! It will bring back memories of my 1987 vfr700! Rear suspension mostly done, need to make the 4 long links to run from top and bottom of knuckles to the main frame

I was a bit incorrect on my gear driven cam statement. I regurgitated info that I didn't fact check. Turns out the whine is said to come from gear driven counter balance shafts, but the cams are chain driven. Either way, I think with a pair of slip ons, the exhaust note paired with the whine is pretty great. This isn't mine, but a similar sound.

Subframe looks great! Very clean work. Maybe I'm missing something, and I'm no engineer, but with all the joints being heim style, what keeps the rear wheels moving forward and back? I'm assuming some kind of leading or trailing arm that isn't in the subframe yet?

Got it! I love the v4 sound! Yes there are four, 2 from each knuckle (hub) this is a model but clear pic

The rear-end is coming along! I was wondering, did you use CAD and a plasma table to layout and cut all your pieces for this project or was it done more manually. All the pieces look precise and the fit-up on everything is great.

Thanks guys! It better be a hoot to drive, if I went through all of this and it's a turd I will lose my mind!!!! Luugo no cad or anything just me a speed square and a angle grinder!

No CAD... even more impressive! Nice work.

That is bad to the bone my friend!!! Like I said the layout and everything was (and I suppose for a project like this had to be) clean and perfect. Makes me want to start doing some fab work in the shop !!!!

Started aluminum! It's a real pain to work with but I'm figuring it out!

Nice work as always! Have you ever used clecos? A simple kit like this may work wonders with your aluminum fitup. I'm not well versed in them, but have used them enough to know how handy they are.
