Coast to Coast
I got my first Ducati in 1998. It was a little M400 Monster. Cant find any photos of it, but I know Ive got a couple somewhere (pre-digital era :). Will try and dig it out and post here in place of this pic. Didn't have all that carbon etc like this pic. Great little bike, and I did a ton of mileage on it. Came off it twice while I had it. Smashed up my left collar bone being stupid. :) Still remember the paramedic rolling me out of the x-ray room at the hospital saying "Are you a perfectionist?" I asked why, he says "Cos you've smahed up that collar bone real good". Splintered and cracked everywhere. Alchohol and bikes dont mix. Young dumb, full of fun.

2000 748R. #682. Awesome bike. Maybe my favourite. Sold it in January this year.
The termis were damn loud on this bike. Chrome Moly frame, Titanium internals, exhaust design by Cosworth, slipper clutch.

These pics were taken while still running the bike in - as you can see tire wear very "upright".

currently doing up a 66 scrambler w/ a buddy, passively looking for a single myself.

nice tour of the ducatis you had there. never seen a 400 monster, i bet that thing was a riot.

Thats a nice Sport Classic you've got. It's a real pity they've stopped making them, but that's going to increase the value of yours I guess?
Watched Tron Legacy the other night with my son. Same bike?

Man, singles are getting really exclusive. Also an investment. I remember them being much more accesible price wise only a few years ago, but that's changed. It's all good though. Makes sense.

Ducati made a very small run of the 400's. Today they're scarce. It was a great bike, but toward the end, I really wanted more power, but it was very capable! :) monsters are brilliant all rounders.

yeah, i saw it.. mine s actually one of the 'extra' 250 they made for the release of the movie. Movie is NOT why i bought it though, but yes its the same bike.

My wife has had 3 750 monsters, all of them were really good. Shes got atriumph street triple R though.. its very much like amonster 750, but better. i was shocked.

I'll find my single,, make no doubt... ;D

Yup - singles - you see them on eBay a lot, it's just finding the right one.

That Sport 1000 looked hawt in Tron btw. :)

Yeah, the speed triple and 675 daytona consistently get good reviews. The triumph always wins the "best current naked bike" in magazine articles.
Your wife's got good taste in bikes! :)

Lots of old ducs are cheap right now. It is time to buy while we can still afford them. Have fun with them, then sell in about 10 years.......

Just sold the 999. :-/

Going to use the money to finish up my Moto Guzzi V50 project, and get my NSR250 track ready, as well as some other grown up shit that I have to take care of! Meh.

Anybody else got any Ducs lying around? :)

Did someone say Ducs?
