HA! I wondered if it was you Joe!
Good deal mates, I think this will work out pretty well all 'round.
Joe, email problems are on my end and I've finally given up and called a geek...err...professional.
That being said, I think what we talked about earlier has merit. I'm going to cut&paste this email into a PM here. stupid box....

Congratulation to everyone involved!

Gentlemen,

I'm flattered by the great reception and I too am excited about the future possibilities we can bring together.

After a couple of false starts and negotiations that ground to a halt, I am happy that Brother Joe and DWMS Racing have stepped up to the plate.

As many of you probably already know, I'm officially "retired", but the Cafe-Moto range just had to be resurrected. That's in no small part due to the encouragement and kind words I've received on this forum. I was also highly impressed at the genuine enthusiasm shown by Brother Joe.

Some of the items [ shox / plug wires] can be viewed over on the RAM site www.realmengineering.com. That will also set our credibility levels as manufacturers of premium Replica Sports Cars. Something we've been doing for over 3 decades.

Through my own personal interests and projects together with the development liaison I have been carrying out with Realm I was getting many enquiries from folk to source and supply CR specific parts - so it seemed only sensible to offer the Cafe Racer range of products on a commercial basis, so I guess I'm out of retirement?

Add to that the John Hancox Artwork and Cafe-Moto merchandise and suddenly there's a whole bunch of interesting stuff !

There will be a gradual build up of stock and parts / merchandise heading to the US - but with our existing courier network and many years of dealings with the US and Canada - parts are only a week away.

Two important points to remember - primarily I am an enthusiast - not some Johhny come lately, "let's jump on the CR bandwagon" merchant. Secondly, parts I develop or source will have their roots firmly in the sixties culture.

In the next months we will be finalising our own Cafe-Moto sister site to Realm, and of course DWMS Racing will be launching their own Webstore.

If any of you artisan builders, or professionals have any queries or interest please feel free to PM me or DWMS Racing.

DWMS Racing are already site supporters and Cafe-Moto / RAM will be doing their bit, including supplying parts for an upcoming exciting high profile competition machine. We'll post details as and when the bike owner decides the time is right.

I have already agreed that a royalty commission will be paid to the site on DTT logo'd merchandise / John Hancox Bike Prints / Calendars and Cafe-Moto merchandise.

Don't forget that mantra - "we're not going back to the sixties - we never left "

This is great news! I can not wait to see the offerings for high quality parts. I have been waiting a long time to find a one stop shop to get my vintage bike fix and look forward to the expansion at DWMS with Joe!

Congrats to all the members who pulled this together.

Casi,
it's been ages since I've been this enthused about a project.

It's not as if it was like when I was a youthful businessman and wanted to take the World by storm - believe it or not this project is not driven by a profit motive [ although any money is handy ! ], but a real need to put something back into the hobby that has swept me along for almost 55 years.

Hands on knowledge is invaluable and not something that can be bought or invented overnight.

My hope is that between Brother Joe's skills and expertise and my own contacts and knowledge we can bring genuine parts with genuine background to the talented builders out there.

I look at people like Garage Rat and Swagger and others who are all working away with enthusiasm and dedication to producing top quality items - I have to say the equal to anything I remember in the Sixties.

People have said that the Cafe Racer movement is something that's in your blood - the fakers are easy to spot.

This really is great news guys! Beachcomber, I think you should cross the pond next october and come to the barber vintage festival in alabama. Lots of dtt, and cafe racers in general there, and what better place to promote the product lines? Plus, vintage and sidecar racing going on all weekend! Remember..... sidecars! :)

Sounds to me like I should put a note in my diary - that would be a blast. I'd really like to meet you guys face to face - if the enthusiasm that comes across in bland text is anything to go by - I might NOT come back ! I'll start saving my pennies.

Very very exciting! Congrats Joe and BC! And BC, if you do make it to Barber's....you can stay at my place. You're always welcome.
