12.43 rear wheel HP should equate to 15-16 HP at the crank of a 150cc, or ~100 HP per litre which was the old measure for an engine that was worth talking about. Not bad for an air-cooled, push rod, china motor. Well done!

It is about what most good 125 bucket racers are getting from their motors. Not bad. And it holds the Australian record for its class in land speed racing. Might be Chinese but far from junk

Yours could get close to these figures if you get it all together right. Mine has many little fiddles done to the motor but a good gas flowed head on a 150 , good exhaust and carb. Mine has some cam work done too but yours should go close

What is the class that you hold the record for? Just interested as its a 'modern' engine I thought there would be modern kit in the same class.

It is a 150 but it is not an overhead cam. P in class stands for pushrod. Class is 175 m( modified) - p( pushrod) g ( gas or pump petrol)
