February 2011 BIKE OF THE MONTH - WINNER!

There is no setup on them. What setup could there be? Hook up cable, turn adjuster until lever is "responsive". I admit, the simplicity is great. Maybe if I could get 2 hands on the lever and pull at the same time...

Take it apart and clean it dude. I was amazed at the amount of crud and corrosion inside. And try a new cable, world of difference. My front brakes work great.

True dat. It only lasted a couple years and was sufficient for a little 200 but what's the point really? was it that much cheaper?

Just saw this - I agree with Diesel. When set up properly they work pretty good. When set up badly......well, you're better off reaching forward and trying to put your foot on the tire a la "Fred Flintstone".

Great bike Diesel. Still running strong?

I sold it to a guy in NYC, but I'm holding it for him til spring. in the meantime its apart again to respray the frame. the enamel I used just isn't holding up so its getting a urethane finish this time.

I just got an email from a guy in France that wants me to build this bike again for him. I don't think its going to happen though, shipping is just too much hassle and expense.
