Bike runs well, a couple of mechanical things i need to work on, to run it the way I want to, battery is pretty much dead, a mate and I picked up the bike on friday and tried run start it, didn't work, then jumped it with a car, took a while but it going haha.

Anyway, if you guys have any ideas, or have done a project on a similar type of bike, I would really appreciate your advice as this is my FIRST BIKE!!

Jacues. It's your first bike, so don't mess around with a "build" just replace the battery, give it a complete service and learn to ride it. Motorcycles are made to be ridden. Ride it, have fun and be safe. Keep learning and get a manual and good gear and training and enjoy it. Maybe you will want to keep it and customize it and maybe you'll keep it as it is or maybe you will want a bigger bike, but ride, be safe and have fun.

Good advice, just clean it up get it safe and running.

Dude, that's a really nice bike the way it is... I wish we'd gotten that version of the VT250 here in the states. I wouldn't change a thing if it all works....

hmmmm, you guys are making it hard to want to mod it haha, the issue is, my friend and i are meant to do this one up, so it hard for me just to cancel the project altogether, probably wont do a whole lot to it. Put a new battery in it today, ran me around 80 dollars, hoping to put a new throttle in it in a couple of days, then after that would il throw some new blinkers and what not on it, but yeah slow project, will see how it goes.

Thanks for the advice thus far.

You've got the right idea - little changes as the riding season is here. Stuff you can do over a weekend and not have the bike mocking you as you see everyone else out and about :)

Cool looking little bike. Yeah, minor things, maybe some good tires and possibly some clubman bars if you want that look and position? I too would like to see that bike sold in the USA. Enjoy the ride.
Cheers, 50gary
