Nice seat, they are fun to build eh? Nice to see you back around Canuck Plumber, still have the cool Black and gold bike?

What do you mean by "Canuck Plumber"? I never had a black and gold bike but I did have a 72 CB500 Silver and black if thats what you meant. Unfortunately I sold it; Fortunately I made a profit!

Sorry the seat comment was for you, the other was for the member who posted above me "Canuck Plumber" He hasn;t been around for a while and he built a nice bike back about 2 years ago. Killing 2 birds with one post!

Sorry to confuse.

Cheers,

Maritime

Thats what I get for not paying attention!

what kind of foam did you use? as you can see my cafe racer lacks a cafe racer seat :[ I've been too busy rebuilding the engine on my other bike

It's closed cell foam. 1 inch thick. It's pretty firm, but I think it will break in a little when its hot out. I got it from a Kayak website for 12 bucks shipped.http://www.austinkayak.com

just type in foam in their search bar cause I dont know the link. They have thinner sheets too!

Nice looking seat. I'm in the process of making a seat myself right now, not nearly as clean looking though. I'll definately look into that kayak foam though, I was trying to figure out what to use, and that's the best idea I've heard so far.

oops! I was talking about the foam to form the seat, not the foam on the seat my bad
I used the stuff from Lowes or walmart meant to seal cracks in walls! It expands alot, so don't over do it. That entire hump was almost a full can!!!
