Who am I kidding? I'm not ever going to get around to this project.
So I've decided to offer it up to someone who can take it over and who want to put her back on the street where she deserves to be.
I've owned this project since 2008. At the time, the cylinders were seized.
I had the motor completely torn down and completely rebuilt, with the cylinders re-sleeved with aluminum, (so she won't seize again.. and AMAL carbs also rebuilt re-sleeved in 2013.)
I reinstalled the rebuilt motor into the frame on March 13 2013, after which it sat in the garage ever since. The new engine has 0 kms.
I never even bothered to start it.
The bike is 95% complete with just a few parts missing.
THIS IS A PROJECT BIKE, and will need to roll-up your sleeves and get your hands dirty to get it running.
So don't come expecting that you can ride it home. Again, THIS IS A PROJECT BIKE.
That being said, here is what << YOU NEED >>.. to get it on the street in its current condition.
- get a new battery
- get a headlight
- do some electrical wiring
- put on a chain
- clean out the tank
- Put air in tires (Tires were brand new in 20013..)
- install throttle and hook up cables
- tune up - (Id put in fresh plugs)
- Give her a good wash.
- scrub out some of the surface rust with CLR
If you want her to be a "Show Queen", you'll need to put in more work and time. But it won't take much for you to be riding it this season..
I have all the proper papers and ownership for this 95% complete bike.
She is a matching numbers bike and definitely a collectors item.
$4500 FIRM AS IS + All the paperwork/ownership and spare parts that I can find for it.
Understand, I WILL NOT take a dollar less. If you offer $4000, the price automatically goes up to $5000. Etc... etc.. etc..
I don't need to sell it, I'd be more than happy to keep in the garage for another 10 years or put it in my living room as a fancy "art nouveau" decoration..
However, that being said, I am open to some interesting motorcycle trades.
