Next question is what gauges are out there.

I want one that can fit in the headlight bucket. Digital is preferred so that it will be able to be flush.

I know about the acewell but curious if there are others out there.

what kind of gauges are you looking for? i found a 2" tach at princess auto (canadian store) and that's the only gauge i'm running. it's got a digital pickup that hooks to the coil and would fit easily in my headlight bucket if i wanted to put it there.

Looking for different options on digital gauges. I looked on Princess Auto but couldnt find any gauges.

My friend is using a digital bicycle speedo that's rated for 100mph+ and is the size of a digital watch face. He has it mounted onto his bottom triple tree and it's almost invisible unless you know what you're looking for. That could easily fit onto/into a headlight bucket.

This is the style of tach i have. If you do a search for 2" gauges you can find a ton of them - though i haven't been able to find a 2" speedo yet for less than $200. I think i paid $15 for my tach while it was on sale.

I don't know if it is what you are looking for but I run a small speedo that sits in my headlight bucket.

It measure 65mm (sorry UK metric here).

I like the looks of mechanical gauges but I heard that digital ones are better for in the bucket because they arent as deep.

Scotch - those glowshift gauges look interesting. Any idea if they're waterproof?

Stidds - Is that the standard speedo in the Venom bucket?

Mine isn't specifically a glow shift unit - but it seems to be waterproof so far. I store my bike outside and rarely cover it. The gauge has been working fine for over 2 years now.

I love how you did the LED's. How did you go about getting that done?

you can get those leds at auto zone. they are basically a screw in unit where you would drill for a hole and the led bulb has threads on the bottom to where you run a nut to tighten against the triple tree. i have one on mine for neutral light, i got it at autozone for about 10 bucks
