Getting a title for no-title CB

Need to tap my DTT brothers' resources on this one. Ive got a '75 CB under 500cc that I bought from a 2nd owner who had no title. I have a detailed bill of sale and can get the name of the 1st owner, who had the bike titled in another state and last registered it over 10yrs ago.
I need a reliable, not bank-breaking method of getting a title for the bike. End state has to be a PA title with my name on it. I dont care how I get there as long as it isnt a scam--is reliable, doesnt cost a fortune, and doesnt take forever. Thanks fellas.

Only way it'll happen in PA is if you contact the first owner, get them to order a duplicate title from the state they live in (or the original will work if it still exists) take it to a notary, sign it, have it notarized amd your info filled out in the "buyers" section. At that point you can get a PA title from any notarys office.

Now...

I've heard good things about this from PA folks who swear to Jesus and Mary rhat it works:

I have never done it so I won't/can't vouch for the process being as simple as I've been told.

Your call, but if you can contact the first owner (really, whoever had it titled in their name last is all that matters) I'd do that first.

Yeah. I'm about 15min away. They don't do any vintage stuff at the moment, but I've talked to some of the folks that work there and the new owner is planning on bringing in all kinds of racing in the future. Hopefully some old bikes make the cut.

Right on man.. Do they have a link or something that I can read up on what they race there? I really wanna get into small vintage racing, but am up for anything man.

Thank you much fellas.. Ill let you know what I find.. I think Im gonna do the Vermont thing. It's through the actual Vermont DMV, I dont need to use a middle man, or sign any sort of power of attorney type shit..
Thanks again.. Cheers

They run WERA at Summit Point. It's about 1 1/2 from York, so about 2 hours from you.

Vintage racing in the northeast is pretty scarce. I just joined USCRA, who runs at Loudon, NH. Idk where yer located, but its an option. We have 4 races this year.
