Good Deal? (1978 Suzuki GS750)

if you have to ask then you are just doing it wrong

The GS is a great bike and very under rated

Just got back from taking a look at the bike. Looks really nice. Virtually no rust save for some on the seat frame. Near brand new front tire. Clean carbs. Rebuilt rear brake master cylinder. And all for $275. I'm think that this shouldn't be passed up.

Did you bring it home with you?

Not yet. I was driving my Escort Hatchback. Not much bike-room in there. Not much room for anything, really. Haha.

I'm planning on calling the seller back and buying it within the next day or two. Then I can use my family's Suburban and/or trailer to haul the sucker back.

Hope it's still there when you ring him - $275 with a clear title means it won't be there for long......

Alright check it. This is how Not to get a steal on a good bike with a clear title. Just our opinion, but for future reference, forget taking the bike home immediately because of your escort! You write a simple contract, have both parties sign it, pay for the bike, TAKE the title in the mean time, then go back and grab the bike in a day or two. Simple, sweet, secure.

He's got it "on hold" for me. Thank god. Otherwise we probably would've been bringing it home strapped onto the top of an Escort. Haha.

He isn't in too much of a rush, and is giving me until Monday. Although, I plan on calling him sooner than that.

Smart thinking. Much better idea. In the future I'll make sure to do so. Thanks for the tip.

When you get it, take that seat, remove it from the bike, pour gasoline on it, cover it liberally with magnesium powder, and burn it to ash...

Not a bad idea. But there will need something to sit on when I get a tank on it. So, that might have to wait.

I'll be calling the seller tomorrow to confirm the purchase. Then, once I have the bike in my possession, I'll take some of my own pictures and throw them up. Assuming you guys are interested.

And I did! Confirmed the purchase today. Will be picking it up on Monday. Stoked as hell for that.
