Hello all,

My first post here in this community. My name is Josh, 28. I live in Southwest Michigan right by the lake. When I'm not disturbing the peace on my cycle, I'm a "parts specialist" at our little local auto parts house. I'm also currently building a 2nd gen RX7 with a SBF swap for track use, but I'm obviously not here for my 4 wheeled endeavors...

Here's my first and only bike, '71 CB350, at it's current stage (minus the license plate lol). It's my take on a cafe racer and rat rod mash-up. It's rude, loud, raw, and dirty, but I love every minute of it.

When the time comes for new tires, I'll most likely go a bit fatter, I'm still on the stockers that came on it when I bought it. Some day I'll strip it down to frame and clean it up, but for now I just ride.

I've never joined a cycle forum and this place looked intriguing, so what the hell.

welcome, the bike looks pretty good :) it is better to ride them than fuss over cosmetic issues in the middle of riding season
BUT you need much longer pipes capped off with some mufflers it will ad the lost power and keep you from being an annoying asshole :)
also if those stacks have screens down inside they are choking off top end power as well
your best bet is the stacks with no screens and some nice big foam filters clamped on,the way it is now your engine wont last long :'( public roads are a filthy dirty place for an engine with zero protection
oh and stick with the stock tire size unless you are a clown as well, but def get new ones the old originals are not safe

Welcome to DTT. Xbsa is right (in his own unique way hahaha). Definitely right about the tires. Going bigger will kill handling.

I'm in Holland, so probably fairly close to you, also with a 71 CB350. :) I went a size up on both the front and rears, and it looks kinda cool and handles OK, but I'll probably try going back to stock tire sizes the next time I need to buy them.
