Excited as a kid on Christmas. Just acquired a 1974 Suzuki gt750 that is very clean but is in need of some tlc.

She need a bit of a patch

New front brake overhaul

And carb bowl deals

Aside from a few minor tweaks I think she will be more classic then cafe.
Have a look :)

Patch work needed however only on the stator cover so no air leak etc.

Seat is off to get cut down tank and covers too. Next to install the chrome guard and then find a front one.

New brake bits already ordered

Welcome. Nice looking GT. What year is it and what is that pipe? I assumed it might be a Bromlech, but they had a different header shape and different end cap on the muffler.

Front fender is either a GS750 or GT750B (77) but the tank is the earlier shape which I much prefer. I retro fitted the same tank on one of mine too.

Nice color and those finned covers are pretty rare. Nice find. Where in OZ?

She's a original 74 mate side covers and tank are right for the year and model oz delivered. Unsure on the pipe but has no name or logo etc on it. I'm in search for a original fender now but your spot on about that. She's a Fiberglass one that needs to be swapped out for original. I'm on the central cost. Q

I should have spotted the 74 forks - one year only. The chrome on that fender looks good too. Fortunate that teh PO did not scuff it to get better paint adhesion.

Thinking about that pipe and I seem to recall a pipe maker called something like "Pipemasters" but it was a long time ago that I saw one. I got luck with a couple of old pipes and found the original decals under the paint or a ame stamped into the steel.

My brother has a place up in Makay if you know anyone looking for a house.

Bit of work done today.
Brake rebuild done and sorted. Made a epic mess with the main man Dave at sdg moto. Tank painted and is looking great tossing up between re painted badges and old school 73 ones. Both purchased so we'll see how they look on the tank just waiting on the 73 badges to come.
I'll throw the new painted goodies on in the morning and mount the rebuilt brakes ready to bleed.

The boys working

Should have got some before pics. Let's just say brown sludge rust and white oxidisation was molesting the callipers. But there pretty now with the new kit and lines.

So I got the seat back from the upholster today and she looks killer. Taken down in the middle sweat up in the rear and front and coated in a new cover.

That paint job is stunning man. Very fine taste. I like the brake callipers and the blacked out exhaust too! I would be curious to know what a more modern, thin radiator would look like on one of these kettles. Any idea why these ones were so thick?
