Hello from Chico!

Been Around the Block
I wanted to save the introduction until I actually got my bike...and as of Sunday I GOT IT!

I ended up trading the moped you may have seen I had for sale for a Honda CB200. Today was my first time riding a motorcycle EVER and I'm in love. I picked it up pretty quick, but still have a lot to learn.
I've been riding on two wheels in different forms my entire life, and I finally felt it was time to trade in the mopeds for something a little more my size. I'm 6'5" so although the moped was awesome fun, I look just plain silly on it.

Things I'd love to hear from you guys:
A recommendation for a decent jacket around $100 or less that is light and breathable (it's way too hot for my current leather jacket this summer)
Recommendations for the Honda CB200? If you found this bike what would be the first thing you'd do to it? I think I'm going to replace the battery and the tires first.
That reminds me... recommendations for some new tires? These one's are on their way out.
Anyone from Sacramento/Chico area?

Thanks everyone,
-StephenDiaz

Looks like you got a pretty killer deal on that swap! Beyond the battery and the tires, you should find a good shop locally go in for a tune up on all the major mechanical parts, make sure nothing is wonky.

As for jackets.. this is a little bit out of the $100 price range, but I want one pretty damn badly and sounds like it's right up your alley. Otherwise just look on eBay for used jackets.

those jackets do look sick! as of now though i have like 12 dollars in my bank account haha...
it'll have to wait. in the meantime i'm going to go through the bike and clean it up a bit, then possibly take it to a shop if i can find a good one in the area to have it checked out

I'm still in Chico! I don't know much but I'm still tinkering with the CB200 every chance I get (not that often these days)

Cool I spend my time in Oroville/Sacramento and am constantly working on different bikes. What are your build plans for that little beauty?

haha that'd be sweet :D

Last time I tried to carry a steadicam on a bike was on a tiny Vespa Grande...ended up crashing head on into an enduro around a blind corner...lol NOT GOOD

everyone was alright, including the camera thank God! Vespa was twisted, Enduro was without a scratch. Sold the vespa for 400 still, bought a puch magnum and then fixed that up and traded up for the CB200 :D
